In July 1998, the Tour de France came Ireland and Sarah organised a group to go to Ireland for a couple of weeks and see, with a little advice from Dave about where to stay. Julie-ann, Maria, Bret, John, Sarah,Barry, and Dave went.
In June 1999, Geoff organised a week in the Drome and Mt Ventoux, with Mike, John and Dave. They stayed in the town of Crest, where Sylvie and Jean-Paul live, before cycling to Mont Ventoux and back. They watched the Dauphiné Libéré cycle race time-trial up Mont Ventoux the hard way, before cycling the last stretch to the top.

In September 1999, Dave organised a camping trip to the Pyrenees Orientales, with John, Geoff, Bret, Julie-ann, Geraldine, Sarah, Barry, Tom and Linda with their children Emily and Jerome. Some travelled from on the BikeBus, some on the train, and Tom and Linda drove in their car.
Sylvie and Jean-Paul hired a van, carried the luggage and provided the meals, but said that they would prefer not to do another camping trip with all the extra work packing up the kitchen every day.
