In May 1995, Geoff organised a week in the French Alps staying in a hotel in Bourg d’Oisans at the foot of Alp d’Huez with Martin, Mike and Roger, where we met Sylvie for the first time. They took their bikes as luggage on the newly opened Eurostar train, possibly the first cyclists to do so, since the Eurostar staff thought the bikes in their bags were musical instruments.
