Geoff decided it would be an excellent idea in the following summer of 1989 to cycle to Camp Moto, which would only accept travellers on two wheels - primarily motorcyclists. We would be the first cyclists. Dave devised up a route, which consisted of drawing a line across the Massif Central from Brive to Camp Moto, using his ride planning skills acquired while organising LCC bikerides. We would put our bikes on the Bike Train to Brive. There would be Geoff, Dave, John - who had organised cycle-camping trips to Suffolk in eastern England, and Roger - a friend of Geoff, who he met on the Bottom Bracket bike holiday.
